This seminar presents the basic neurodevelopmental philosophy related to the treatment and the sensory issues involved in the feeding process for children with neuromotor and sensory disorders. Assessment and treatment strategies are demonstrated. Positioning, techniques for the jaw, lips and tongue are presented and demonstrated. Sensory issues including tactile sensitivity, taste, texture, and oral-motor organization are discussed and intervention strategies are presented.
