Course Preview

This program discusses current concepts in motor control and motor learning and relates these concepts to intervention strategies. Various system theories and dynamic control theories are discussed. Postural control and the importance of understanding alignment, the base of support, and the center of mass are discussed. The differences and implications of different types of muscles to postural control and movement are identified and explained.
