Description
Examination of the oral-motor system requires more than looking at the palate, dental bite or ability to form repetitive consonant-vowel sequences. It involves analyzing postural tone of the face, alignment and graded motor control of the cheeks, lips, tongue, and jaw with respiratory support. This video presents an assessment protocol for determining oral-motor dysfunction in school-aged children. Provided in MP4 download only.
